Shabby/August Unboxing: Milky Planet

As the title describes, just a rushed quick unboxing post since I had recently gotten my package in the mail that I had been waiting for 2 weeks for (via airmail) to get to me and I couldn't wait to rip into it.

The shopping service I use is Chibi-Tenshi/Tenshi-shop. She is a wonderful SS to use and very polite to communicate transactions with so I would 100% recommend  her service when needing to buy from Japan.

The box that it was shipped in was so small! I'm surprised that she was  able to fit a whole dress into such a tiny box :) She doesn't ship air and finds boxes to fit your items perfectly which is why I like using her service. The parcel got to me within 2 weeks via Airmail and cost me only 1800 yen = $20 aud.

The dress was shipped in a plastic bag to protect the dress.

 Tadah!
I have finally gotten the print/colorway I've been hunting for! I'm so happy to be able to have two Milky planets in both cuts now. I absolutely love the print especially the rainbows and scallops at the bottom. (*The dress is needs an iron).

Unfortunately I'm unable to fit the JSK just yet but when I loose some weight I will be wearing the hell outta this babe for sure. I bought this JSK off of Mbok for a great price and is a genuine AP piece ^-^

Daiso Facial Mask Review: BB face mask.

Recently after turning 20, I've notice myself looking more into taking care of myself and skin but obviously I haven't a clue where to start and or what to get. So where else better to start then at Daiso! After shopping there a few times for cute accessories and general Japanese goods I saw that they had a decent spread of skin care stuff.

From other blog reviews about Diaso's products skin care stuff they are pretty good for quality so I decided to give some of their facial masks a try.

Diaso BB Face Mask : $2.80 aud.
Made in Korea.

My Sydney Diaso store only had a small array of masks so I chose the one that had the most amount of English and images I could read. I was looking for something that hydrated my skin and would leave my skin ready for a upcoming convention. The packet came with two masks $1.40 each for a single packet.

Picture of both packets and bare face.

There are instructions on the back of the packets which are straight forward and easy to read.

1. Take out mask and apply onto clean/washed face.
2. Apply mask and leave on for 5-10 minutes depending on your need.
3. Take off mask and discard.
4. Pat excess liquid and let dry.

I opened the packet and surprisingly the mask was completely benched with a gooey liquid (collagen) so taking it out of the packet and putting it onto my face was very weird since it felt like putting a slimy film over my skin haha.

I know, I look absolutely ridiculous and THANK GOODNESS NO ONE WAS AROUND!

Besides the gooey weirdness the mask felt alright on and could actually feel it working and absorbing into my skin. The instructions say to leave it on for 5-10 minutes but I left it on for about 1 hour and a half till the mask dried out a bit to get the most out of the mask.

The mask it's self seemed to be a bit too big for my face and I had to constantly adjust the mask so that it was covering my face properly. Also, it was incredibly difficult to keep a straight face since the mask limits your facial expressions.

My results after an hour of the mask :D

Nothing really physically noticeable but I could feel a difference. My face was very dewy and hydrated which was something I liked along with oddly making my skin look lighter then it normally is. My skin felt bouncy and fresh too.

I would like to try some more of Daiso's other face masks to see if I get any positive and or noticeable results. Since this is my first results ever using facial masks from Diaso and was pleased with the outcome I got. I wouldn't mind looking at using other types of facial masks from other brands along with other products to try to help my complexion.

I wouldn't mind recommendations C=

First Meet-up of the year!

The first meet of the new year will be a picnic meet hosted by one of my friends, Ann. Since Australian season's are opposite to most other countries where during January all are frolicking in newly fallen snow and huddle around fires with cups of cocoa; Australia is boiling under the wrath of the sun in what we call Summer.

So perfect weather for a picnic!

The picnic was meant to be held a week previously but thanks to flash flooding that week the date was moved. The meet theme was " favorite coord 2014" and the coord I had in mind was well fitted to the sunny humid weather conditions.

( My camera isn't the best.( ̄ω ̄;) )
Dress: Metamorphose Fancy Bunny
Necklace:  Angelic Pretty
Hat: Diaso
Shoes,Socks, Cardigan and jewelry: Off-brand

I chose one of my favorite coords that I got to wear previously last year but didn't get to wear it out much. My hair wasn't cooperating so chose to throw it up in plats and since it was boiling I chose something that had thin material like my meta OP and went with some ankle socks and jelly shoes.

I really love metamorphose and their yellow print.

There wasn't a lot that turned out for the meet since many had pulled out last minute due to crazy heat but never the less it was a lovely meet and had a great time. There was so much food that everyone brought which was delicious plus the weather was perfect! Unfortunately I was so preoccupied with the delicious food that I hadn't taken any photo's of the actual picnic =-=; Sorry!

A guy asked to take a picture of us when we were waiting for other lolita's to show up at the meeting point and was nice enough to send us the photo too :)

To finish the day off some of the girls and I went of to take Purikura! I've never taken Purikura before and was extremely excited! I shied away from decorating since I didn't want to be the one that messes the photo's up. (*´▽`*)

This years goal list!

As always, I make a little list to help me stay on track with what to buy and not overspend on items I don't necessarily need. Last year I was able to grab a whole heap of things from off my dream dress list and only missed out on one dress that was actually on my list, Toy drop OP in either red, navy or black.

So this year I'm going to make me another list to try to help me stay on track. Last year I only had one brand I was interested but thanks the comm and seeing such lovely dresses from other brands I've expanded my interests.

1. Fancy Box set in Black.

2. Sugar pansy in Mint, Pink,Yellow or Lavender.

3. Candy Treat in Black.

4. Royal Poodle in Pink or Sax.

5. Country Of Sweets in Brown or Black.

6. Sweet Chocolate House Babushka.

Baby the stars shine bright/ Alice and the Pirates

1.Funeral procession of Rose in Lavender

2. Cherry Cherry Fallin' in Black.

3. St. Mephisto Cathedrale JSK in Lavender.

Innocent World.

1. Puppy Jsk in Brown or Pink.

2. Innocent World Cesky Krumlov in Sax or Lavender.

3. Museum Bear in Ivory.

Metamorphose:

And that should be a good list to follow up on in 2015. Hopefully I don't get too distracted by new releases and whatnot this year and overspend haha.

Goodbye 2014 and hello 2015!

So the start of a new year has come and we farewell the old. This past year has been a great, not so great, stressful and a joyous year for me and is a little sad to see it go but as always we must press on as the future holds new experiences!

2014 was my year that I really got involved in the Lolita community here in Sydney and meet some extraordinarily nice people. I was so worried about not being liked or accepted in the comm as of all the drama I've heard but all those fears were fell out the window as everyone was so lovely!

Along with being more active in the community I've found my confidence grow and found my feet. I am different from what I was a year ago and have come quite far from that depressed shy girl I used to be. So I'm so thankful for the Lolita community in helping me and my esteem.

With being involved in the community I've found my wardrobe grow heavily and finding what I colours I gravitate to the most. My big splurge had to be the end of year sales at Angelic Pretty. My weakness is sales, especially 50% off ones in which I can't say no too.

This year I've only missed out on 2 Angelic Pretty dress I've dearly wanted  which were Wrapping ribbon Jsk in mint and Cosmetic Girl OP in Sax and only 2 Btssb/Aatp dresses which were Funeral procession of rose and Guilty Melty Jsk. But in all I was able to grab a large amount of dressed I'd been dying for and can't be happier :3

2014 had brought me a big accomplishment in regards to finishing half of my HSC! I originally tried to finish my final year at high school in 2013 but found it so hard to cope with and manage my life due to home issues and bullying so dropped out. I tried again in 2014 and decided to split my subjects up so that I could have a  lesser load and less stress. I wanting to give up and just quit but persistently carried on and I was able to finish my half of my final. So 2015 will be the year I totally finish the HSC as my load for will be only 2 subjects and then I get my HSC and then to University.

I look forward to 2015 as I have so much I want to accomplish and a lot to look forward too, meeting new friends and having new experiences <3

New Year Resolution 2015!

As with every new year comes a new year's resolution. This year I'm trying to fulfill my resolutions that I make and not skip out on them (Which normally happens). So for 2015 I've made a little list of resolutions/goals that I will work hard to complete this year.

1. Get through this year's schooling without going crazy.
2. loose some weight =-=;
3. Limit spending to a minimum.
4. Save for Japan.
5. Succeed this year.
6. Get Furniture for room.

The two main resolutions I'll try to work harder against would be weight and limit spending. I ,myself isn't the smallest Lolita in the comm so I'd definitely benefit from a few Kg lighter. Also spending in general, I spend too much and mostly on impulse buys so I have to stop and save up for my japan trip at the end of 2014.

Well this was just a tiny short post and doubt anyone would care :3

Ultimate Dream Dressss!!! (sorta)

Well, it's finally here!

Through out the year and after many many failed auctions I've secured it. My dream dress. Whimsical Vanilla-chan OP.....but in pink. Oh wells, I can still look for the JSK in mint -=-;

After searching through Mbok on a faithful evening, I stumbled upon a auction for this dress. The starting bid was 5,000 yen and I immediately HAD to bid for it. It was the OP and even though it wasn't in the colour I wanted it was still the OP. The OP normally goes for about 18,000-50,000  yen so I was determined to scoop it up. There was about 2 other bidders interested which was competition. I put my max price in with Chibi and thankfully afterwards the other 2 bidders got stopped bidding and I won it! I got it for a really good price and am so sooo happy that I did!

Here it is!

I chose to ship it via un-regested airmail from Sendai to Sydney which took about 2~ish weeks. It normally takes only 1 but due to it being November and the X-mas rush it too longer.

Chibi packaged it in the perfect box! PERFECT!

Nice little card as always~

Was packaged nicely in a Btssb shopping bag. Upon first opening the box I had mistaken it for a AP bag but found it was a baby one. Quite deceiving when both brands use the same colour for their shopping bags.

And tada! The collar~ it was packaged nicely and fitted wonderfully. The dress wasn't that big and it didn't cost much to ship, around $25 Aud. I absolutely loved the collar and pearls; the pearls were the first thing I inspected and found no faults or anything wrong with the collar. Even though the listing had indicated a fault I could not fine any. win win.

( Camera Started to be stupid on me -=-;)

Now with it on my sewing form I can't express how god damn happy I am to own my dream dress in the cut I was after, not in the colour but that doesn't matter since now I can go after the JSK in mint ^-^ I love love LOVE this dress to infinity and beyond. The lace, pearls and print is everything I had imagined it would be. Perfection.

In other news: Recently just got a phone so that means better quality pictures next time.
